REVIEW OF THE WEEK – Fisher-Price Smart Screen Laptop Laugh & Learn

ABCD…the Smart Screen Laptop introduced the alphabet to my toddler, what a great educational toy! This laptop operates just like a real one, simply flip up to open the screen and there are 9 easy to press brightly coloured buttons different shapes. When your child presses the buttons they are rewarded with sound effects, words and sing-along songs. My toddler loves the handle he carries it around the house and sets up office at his little table.

The animated screen shows numbers, shapes, colors, letters, and more. You can bat and roll the mouse to activate the alphabet, he loves this feature! So much to learn! Suitable for boys and girls 12 months plus!

Queens and princesses – The Royal Visit – dolls and role-play

I am sure you are all enjoying the Royal visit and playing tea parties and princess dress-ups today, well at least I am…the fairy dust is just settling!

It seems every the little princess in Australia is enjoying the Queen being in town. Role-play is a fantastic way for your children to express themselves! I loved seeing the mini princesses and one mini Royal guard greet the Queen today! If only it was more acceptable to play dress-ups as an adult!!!

With only 61 days till Christmas, If the girls are enjoying the Royal visit why not add a princess or two to Santa’s list.

You can discover your child’s inner Picaso with the doodle pro, both my boys love to doodle and create pictures on this toy. They both use the shapes and pencil to create pictures.

My toddler loves using the circle and triangle magnet to create his master pieces and my school boy likes to practice his alphabet, he also came up with the idea of using other magnets we have around the house to create pictures on the doodle pro.

Mums will love that the pencil is tethered to the toy, no hunting for it under the couch! It’s a great toy for keeping them amused and for some quiet time and also helps develop their drawing and writing skills. A toy for every household!

REVIEW OF THE WEEK – Little People® Zoo Talkers™ Animal Sounds Zoo

Hear them roar, the Little People Zoo gets the kids roaring and growling around the house. It’s so clever, just sit the animal on the peg and it imitates the sound of that animal, press it down again and it tells you the animals name.

The Zoo has 4 distinct areas, including grasslands, arctic, jungle and water environments and comes with lion, polar bear, gorilla and Zookeeper Zack.

My boys love to play with the slide, the talking ticket booth, the lily pad and swing which are all built into the play-set. The ticket booth makes announcements when pressed like,“It’s time to feed the animals” and “It’s a beautiful day at the zoo”. This encourages my children to make their own announcements like, “It’s time for the polar bear show”.

The play-set has taught my toddler to recognise animals and animal noises, and encourages my 5 year old’s imaginative play. The boys love to sit and play with the Zoo together it’s a great sharing toy because there are lots of accessories and distinct areas of play.
